Job Context

• DAM Foundation for Economic Development (DFED), a reputed organization under Dhaka Ahsania Mission, operates microcredit and investment programs across Bangladesh under MRA and PKSF regulations.
• The Area Manager will be responsible for supervising multiple branches, ensuring effective microfinance operations, maintaining financial discipline, and strengthening field-level monitoring and risk management systems.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and implement area-based annual operational plans
• Supervise and monitor branch managers and field staff performance
• Ensure proper evaluation and approval of investment activities
• Conduct regular field visits and maintain operational control
• Organize weekly and monthly coordination meetings
• Prepare and submit reports through software systems
• Maintain relationships with beneficiaries, NGOs, and local government bodies
• Set and monitor monthly targets for investment activities
• Ensure proper recovery of installments and reduce overdue loans
• Prepare area budgets and financial plans
• Manage risk, internal control, and operational compliance
• Evaluate staff performance and submit reports to higher authority
• Ensure confidentiality of records and documentation
• Promote gender-sensitive and ethical work practices
• Report daily operational progress to zonal management
