Job Context

• This position is part of BRAC Bank’s Retail Banking and Cards Division, focused on expanding the bank’s merchant acquiring business. The role involves onboarding merchants, enabling card/QR payment acceptance, and ensuring smooth transaction operations across retail and commercial points of sale.
• As an Officer, Merchant Acquiring, you will work closely with merchants to promote digital payment solutions (debit/credit cards, POS, QR payments) and help grow the bank’s card transaction ecosystem in Bangladesh.

Job Responsibilities

• Sign up new merchants and onboard them into the BRAC Bank merchant network
• Install and set up POS terminals and QR code payment systems at merchant locations
• Train merchants on using card payment systems and transaction processes
• Maintain strong relationships with merchants to ensure business growth
• Visit merchants regularly to promote card usage and digital payment acceptance
• Explain benefits of card acceptance, including increased sales and service advantages
• Ensure smooth functioning of POS/QR systems at merchant points
• Monitor merchant performance and transaction activities
• Ensure compliance with Merchant KYC, banking rules, and fraud prevention guidelines
• Handle merchant queries, complaints, and support issues efficiently
• Participate in promotional campaigns and sales initiatives for card business growth
• Support Merchant Support Officers (MSO) and coordinate field activities

• Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in in Business, Finance or a related field. , Master of Commerce (MCom)
