Job Description
  • This position is a laboratory-based quality control role in the food and beverage (ice cream production) industry. The Microbiologist will be responsible for ensuring product safety and hygiene by conducting microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods. The role focuses on maintaining strict food safety standards such as GMP, HACCP, and GHP within a dairy/ice cream production environment.

    Responsibilities & Context
  • Conduct microbiological testing of raw materials, water, in-process samples, and finished products
  • Perform routine laboratory tests such as Total Plate Count (TPC), Coliform, E. coli, Yeast & Mold analysis
  • Maintain accurate laboratory records, reports, and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, GHP, HACCP, and food safety standards
  • Monitor and maintain laboratory equipment in proper working condition
  • Support QA/QC team in ensuring product quality and safety
  • Keep laboratory environment clean, hygienic, and contamination-free
  • Analyze test results and report deviations or risks to management
  • Assist in troubleshooting quality issues related to microbiological contamination
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) in all lab activities
  • Perform any additional tasks assigned by management or QA department
