Job Description
  • Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is seeking an Intern for the Biodiversity Cluster in Dhaka. The role supports international development projects focused on marine and terrestrial biodiversity, climate resilience, and sustainable livelihoods. The intern will assist in project coordination, research, communication, and knowledge management activities while gaining exposure to international cooperation and environmental development programs.

    Education

    • Bachelor of Science (BSc) in in Forestry, Zoology, Fisheries, Environmental Science

    Additional Requirements

    • Age 25 to 40 years

    Responsibilities & Context
  • Support planning, coordination, and documentation of events such as workshops, field missions, and community engagement programs.
  • Assist in organizing logistics for field visits and project activities.
  • Prepare meeting minutes, attendance records, and related documentation.
  • Collect, compile, and organize data from government agencies, NGOs, academic institutions, and local communities.
  • Conduct research on biodiversity, climate change, blue economy, and conservation topics.
  • Assist in preparing bilingual communication materials (English & Bangla), including reports, presentations, factsheets, and social media content.
  • Document project success stories, case studies, and best practices.
  • Support knowledge management using digital tools such as MS Teams and SharePoint.
  • Maintain and archive project files, reports, and stakeholder communications.
  • Provide general administrative and coordination support to the Biodiversity Cluster team.
