Job Description
  • Global Insurance PLC is seeking an experienced senior professional to lead the Claims Department as Claim In-charge (EVP/SVP level). The role is responsible for overseeing the entire insurance claims function in a non-life insurance environment, ensuring accurate, compliant, and efficient claims handling and settlement across all insurance categories.

    Responsibilities & Context
  • Supervise and manage the full claims lifecycle from First Notice of Loss (FNOL) to final settlement across all general insurance lines (fire, marine, motor, engineering, etc.).
  • Develop, implement, and update SOPs to improve claims efficiency, turnaround time, and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate claims records, registers, reserves, and documentation in compliance with company policy.
  • Review claim documents, survey reports, investigations, and legal provisions to determine liability and admissibility.
  • Detect and prevent fraudulent or exaggerated claims through critical verification and analysis.
  • Handle complex and high-value claims and provide strategic recommendations to management.
  • Ensure compliance with insurance laws, IDRA regulations, tariffs, and internal policies.
  • Coordinate with clients, brokers, surveyors, adjusters, reinsurers, legal teams, and regulatory authorities.
  • Prepare periodic claims reports, MIS reports, and analytical summaries for management and the board.
  • Analyze claims trends to support underwriting decisions and risk management strategies.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the claims team for operational excellence.
  • Conduct site visits or supervision of claim-affected areas when required.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by management.
